Booking Terms & Conditions
These terms govern all bookings made with Nile Holiday (“the Company”). Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.
1. Confirming Your Booking
To reserve your holiday, send us your travel request by email or through the booking form on our website. A dedicated travel consultant will contact you to discuss your requirements and prepare a detailed itinerary.
Once you have reviewed and approved the itinerary, your reservation is confirmed upon receipt of the agreed deposit. We recommend booking as early as possible, as availability on cruises and tours is limited, particularly in high season.
2. Payment Terms
Deposit. A deposit of 50% of the total tour price is required to secure your reservation. This deposit is applied toward your final balance and is not an additional charge.
Payment deadline. The deposit must reach us within 7 days of your booking confirmation. Reservations not secured within this period may be released without notice.
Accepted payment methods. Bank wire transfer, credit card (Visa or MasterCard), or Western Union.
Final balance. The remaining balance is due before the start of your tour, in accordance with the schedule stated in your confirmation invoice.
3. Credit Card Payments
Where payment is made by credit card, banking regulations require the following before we can process the charge:
- A signed authorisation letter permitting Nile Holiday Tours to debit the agreed amount from your card. The signature must match the signature on both your credit card and your passport.
Please send this document to us by email in advance, or hand it to our representative when you are met on arrival. We regret that we cannot proceed with your booking until it has been received.
4. Changes to Your Booking
Requests to amend a confirmed booking are always subject to availability and to the terms of our suppliers.
Where full payment has been received or travel vouchers have already been issued, no administrative fee is charged for amendments — with the exception of air tickets, which remain subject to the issuing airline’s own change fees and fare rules.
5. Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be submitted to us in writing, by email, so that we have a clear record of your request. Charges are calculated on the full tour price and applied according to the date we receive your written notice:
| Notice received before arrival date | Charge |
|---|---|
| 61 days or more | 15% |
| 60 to 30 days | 25% |
| 29 to 15 days | 50% |
| 14 to 8 days | 75% |
| 7 days or fewer, or no-show | 100% |
Flights. Air tickets issued by the Company fall outside this scale and are subject to the cancellation rules of the operating airline. These charges apply in addition to the amounts shown above and may reach the full ticket value.
6. Refunds
Approved refunds are issued to the original payer, using the same method and account as the original payment. Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer.
No refund is payable where a guest fails to appear for a confirmed service.
7. Accommodation
Unless otherwise stated, all prices are quoted per person based on two guests sharing a twin or double room. Single occupancy is available at a supplementary rate, quoted at the time of booking.
Named hotels, cruise vessels and lodges indicate the standard of accommodation reserved. Where a named property becomes unavailable, we will substitute an establishment of comparable quality and will inform you in advance.
Published rates include applicable taxes and charges current at the time of publication and may change without prior notice.
8. International Flights
We are pleased to assist with international flight arrangements on request. Domestic flights within Egypt can be included in your package where required.
9. Special Requests
Please tell us about any special requests — dietary requirements, room location, celebrations, accessibility needs — at the time of booking. We will pass every request to the relevant supplier and do our best to accommodate it.
Special requests do not form part of your contract and cannot be guaranteed, even where we confirm that a request has been noted or it appears on your confirmation invoice. We are unable to accept bookings made conditional on a special request being met.
10. Children’s Rates
| Age at time of travel | Tour price |
|---|---|
| Under 2 years | Free of charge |
| 2 to 11 years | 50% of the adult tour price |
| 12 years and over | Full adult price |
Where your package includes airfare, the airline’s own child and infant fares apply and may result in additional charges.
11. Tipping
Tipping is a customary way of recognising good service in Egypt and is always appreciated by our guides, drivers and cruise staff. It is entirely at your discretion and is never obligatory.
12. Photographs and Guest Content
We love sharing our guests’ experiences. If you would like to see your photographs featured on our website or social media channels, simply let us know or share them with us directly — we will always ask for your permission before publishing any image in which you appear, and you may withdraw that permission at any time.
13. Responsibility and Liability
The Company acts solely as an agent for its clients in arranging transport, accommodation and related services, whether by road, rail, river, air or any other means.
We accept no liability for injury, illness, death, loss, damage, accident, delay or irregularity arising directly or indirectly from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: weather conditions; acts of God and force majeure; acts of government or public authorities; war, civil unrest, terrorism or riots; strikes and labour disputes; theft; mechanical breakdown; quarantine and public health measures; and any default, delay, cancellation or alteration by a hotel, cruise operator, carrier or restaurant. Additional expenses arising from such events are the responsibility of the client.
14. Complaints
Should anything fall short of your expectations during your stay in Egypt, please contact us immediately using the emergency telephone numbers provided in your final travel documents. Most issues can be resolved quickly while you are still on the ground, and we would always prefer the opportunity to put things right at the time.
15. Acceptance of These Terms
Your booking, once accepted by the Company and subject to the conditions set out above, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Nile Holiday Tours.
Payment of a deposit or of the final balance, by bank transfer or credit card, confirms that all members of your travel party have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
Last updated: September 2026. Nile Holiday Tours reserves the right to amend these terms; the version in force at the time of your booking applies.
